Welcome to GrowthZone! The Onboarding Services team is here to ensure a smooth transition for your association. Think of us as your “behind the wheel” driving instructors, guiding you through the setup and usage of GrowthZone.
What to Expect During Onboarding
1. Mapping Out Your Journey:
- We will outline a personalized plan for your association's onboarding process.
- This includes the configuration of the GrowthZone system to meet your specific needs and to ensure a successful data migration.
2. Coaching and Training:
- Our team will provide continuous coaching as you learn to navigate GrowthZone through the set-up and data migration process. The Training team will focus on the education of GrowthZone.
- Expect assignments each week utilizing the GrowthZone training materials to assist in learning the features and functionality and ensure progress.
3. Hands-On Experience:
- During meetings with your Onboarding Coach, you'll be encouraged to take the wheel. This means sharing your screen and actively using GrowthZone under our guidance.
- This hands-on approach helps build confidence and familiarity with the system.
Onboarding Timeline
- Duration: The onboarding process typically spans 90 to 180 days.
- Factors Influencing Timeline:
- The package you purchased
- The volume of data to be migrated
- The pace at which you wish to proceed
Parallel Activities
- Assignments: You will have weekly tasks designed to build your skills and knowledge.
- Background Work: While you focus on your assignments, our team will be working behind the scenes to support your onboarding.

Key Setup: These are the steps of configuring GrowthZone to reflect your processes within the best practices of GrowthZone. These elements will ensure your organizational processes run efficiently and effectively.
Data Migration: This is the process of cleaning up and moving your data from your existing management system to GrowthZone AMS. This process may involve data discovery, several iterations, and lead to your final, live database.
Learning & Coaching: Your onboarding coach will guide you through each GrowthZone module with suggested prep work including reviewing GrowthZone University training, Cohort Training, reading documentation and hands-on exercises.
Website Integration: If we are designing a new website for you, or using your existing, we will integrate key GrowthZone modules into your website.
Onboarding Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- What happens after accepting the purchase agreement? Typically, within 5 days, you will receive an email from a GrowthZone Onboarding Services Manager, providing you a calendar link to the assigned Onboarding Coach in order for you to schedule your Kickoff call.
- When does the project timeframe (i.e. 90 days) start? Your project timeframe begins on your Kickoff meeting.
- What are Onboarding hours typically used for?
- General project management with the ability for customers to access their project through Teamwork.
- Data migrations discussions.
- Strategic process and deployment discussions.
- Setup and setup discussions.
- Coordination of integration and sync needs.
- What are Training hours typically used for?
- Cohort training with our Training team.
- One-on-one training with our Training team.
- Setup and how to guidance.
- Why Cohort Training? Cohort training fosters increased engagement and peer collaboration throughout the life of the customer journey.
- What data does and doesn’t come over? Please refer to the Data Migration tabs above for complete details on what is "in" and "out of scope" for data migrations.
- Our current AMS subscription is ending. Once our data is in GrowthZone, are we able go live right away? As long as your data is in production, payment gateway is set up, and all prerequisite items have been completed, you are able to utilize the software while still in onboarding.
- What happens after Onboarding is complete? Once you have graduated from onboarding, you’ll have continual access to assistance via our Knowledge Base, GrowthZone University, and our Customer Support team via email, chat and phone.
- May I pause my onboarding project? We typically don't recommend this action and would welcome a discussion if this avenue is something that needs to be explored. A disruption in onboarding typically results in a delayed graduation, and additional fees to be assessed for extending the process. Should you need to pause your onboarding project, this can be discussed with the Onboarding coach, and Onboarding Services Manager; however your software subscription fees will continue. In certain extenuating circumstances, GrowthZone will allow a customer to pause onboarding for up to a maximum of 60 days. There would be no refund or pause in customer financial responsibility to GrowthZone if there is an approved pause with the onboarding project.
